"LA ARTÍSTICA" MUSICAL SOCIETY OF BUÑOL

ORFEOS CHOIR

The Choir of the "La Artística" Musical Society, popularly known
as "Orfeos", it began its journey in the month of October 2013.

Participatory group

The "Orfeos" Choir was created to accommodate the members of the "La Artística" Musical Society of Buñol (popularly known as "Los Feos") who, despite not being musicians, were interested in pursuing a musical activity within the society. Likewise, the board of directors saw the opportunity to expand the organization's ensembles with this vocal group.

The choir is composed of 30 people of various ages, all members of "La Artística," under the direction of Professor José Ramón Peinado.

Their debut took place as part of the concert series for the 61st Anniversary of the Teatro Montecarlo on April 6, 2014, where they were responsible for opening the event with great success among the public and critics.

Wide repertoire

His repertoire is very varied, interpreting works that go from the classic to the most current, going through popular songs, light songs, habaneras, etc.

Notable in their career are recent concerts held at the Municipal Auditorium (Buñol Music Biennial), at the Teatro Montecarlo, and in exchange programs with the Federation of Bands and the Federation of Choirs of the Valencian Community, also serving as co-organizers of the "Villa de Buñol" Choir Festival.

Under the motto @cantarmola, the Orfeos Choir has toured the Valencian region and recently made its first trip to another autonomous community, visiting San Esteban de Gormaz, in Soria (Castilla y León).
