"LA ARTÍSTICA" MUSICAL SOCIETY OF BUÑOL

SYMPHONIC ORCHESTRA

The Orchestra of the S. M. "La Artística" was born in 1980 to give the opportunity
to perform in concert to the string musicians of the Music School.

The beginnings

Two young musicians from this Society, Manuel Iniesta Rodríguez and Jesús Perelló Fuster, are its first conductors and promoters, and who dedicate several years of their musical careers to teaching and joining young orchestras. This effort is rewarded when on April 18, 1987, and under the direction of Jesús Perelló Fuster, he offers his Presentation Concert at the Montecarlo Theater in Buñol.

Within this orchestra many young musicians have been forged who now hold important positions in conservatories and orchestras throughout Spain, especially in the Valencian Community. It not only welcomes musicians from the Society, but also anyone interested in being part of it. Thus, it can be considered as an orchestral school.

Successful tours

Its chief conductors have been excellent musicians such as Manuel Iniesta Rodríguez, Jesús Perelló Fuster, Henrie Adams, Manuel Jesús Godoy Mesas, Eduardo Carrascosa Carrascosa or Jaime Aldas Ruiz.

She has toured Germany and France, highlighting her successful participation in June 1990 in the XX International Festival of Young Orchestras that is held annually in Ahrensburg (Germany), being invited to perform in other locations in Germany, the Czech Republic and Slovakia. It has abundant performances in Spain, and especially in the Valencian Community, participating in the SARC for several seasons.
